Day 1 : Nairobi → Ngare Ndare Forest → Nanyuki
- Early morning departure from Nairobi (~4.5 hours)
- Arrive at Ngare Ndare Forest Reserve by late morning
Activities:
- Walk across the canopy bridge suspended in lush forest
- Hike to natural waterfalls and enjoy a swim in turquoise pools
- Spot native birds and learn about indigenous trees with a local guide
- Afternoon transfer to Nanyuki (~40 minutes)
- Evening check-in, dinner, and overnight rest
Day 2 : Nanyuki → Samburu + Afternoon Game Drive
- Breakfast and departure to Samburu National Reserve (~3.5 hours)
- Midday arrival with refreshments and check-in
- Afternoon game drive: Look out for elephants, lions, oryx, and the unique gerenuk
- Return to camp for relaxation and dinner
Day 3 : Safari + Samburu Culture + Nature Walk
- Early morning game drive or optional bush breakfast
- Mid-morning cultural visit to a Samburu manyatta to learn about local customs and beadwork
- Afternoon rest with views over the Ewaso Nyiro River
- Evening nature walk with a trained ranger: discover animal tracks and plant life
- Dinner followed by fireside storytelling or stargazing
Day 4 : Camel Safari & Final Game Drive
- Leisurely breakfast
- Camel ride safari guided by Samburu warriors along riverbanks and dry scrubland
- Afternoon break, then one last evening game drive
